Reach AR-1 Helmet

I played a key role in the development of several cycling helmets for KED, a leading helmet manufacturer. In particular, I was closely involved in the creation of the Reach AR-1 helmet, which was part of a larger effort by the team at DQBD to expand and refine KED’s product lineup.

In addition to designing new concepts, graphics and packaging, the team worked closely with manufacturers to ensure that each product was brought to market efficiently and effectively. This involved creating detailed 3D CAD models and prototypes to help guide the production process.

The helmet was designed for everyday use, offering versatility and functionality across a range of activities, from commuting to leisure rides. Our goal was to create a helmet that balanced practicality with broad appeal, avoiding overly polarizing design elements. To achieve this, we focused on developing a clean, universal design language that would feel appropriate in any setting.

The helmet boasts innovative features and customization options, prioritizing both comfort and safety. It includes large, efficient vents with reflective covers for enhanced visibility and security during darker, colder months. Additional features include a convenient sunglasses port and a removable visor, making it adaptable for various conditions and riding styles.
